Location & Amenities
ON THE WILD ATLANTIC WAY
Ramelton is located in the beautiful North West of Ireland in the county of Donegal.
An unspoilt Irish village with close links to main cities like Letterkenny and Derry, the town prospered during the 18th and early 19th centuries when many of its most attractive and distinctive buildings were constructed. Flax was grown locally and a thriving linen industry centred on The Tanyard. This was a very prosperous time for Ramelton when ships regularly arrived from as far afield as New York and Jamaica.
